Equipment: 2022 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament from Hallmark Star Wars, Star Trek and Doctor Who

This is the time of the year that most people think about pumpkin spice everything and the upcoming holiday season. I like this time of year because Halloween is right around the corner and the Hallmark Holiday Ornaments begin hitting shelves big time. I do so love Hallmark Ornaments even though I haven’t put up a Christmas tree in 14 years. Each year Hallmark graciously sends us product for review and we really appreciate our relationship with them.

Each year I am blown away by at least one ornament, this year is no different. The ornament that I have taken a particular shine to is also the first one we are reviewing, the U.S.S. Enterprise from Strange New Worlds. This subtle redesign of the original Enterprise is just beautiful.

The first time we see this “new” version of the U.S.S. Enterprise is in Star Trek: Discovery and for me it was love at first sight. The Hallmark Keepsake U.S.S. Enterprise measures approximately 3.18 x 1.47 x 7. This ornament has a hanger ring on the back of the saucer section for display and I am so impressed on how Hallmark knows exactly the “sweet spot” is located so the ship hangs straight.

This Keepsake Ornament is a magic ornament (a “Magic Ornament” is an ornament that has lights, sounds or both) because it lights up. I love that the ornaments now take batteries to function as opposed to being plugged in for power. The U.S.S. Enterprise takes 3 LR41 batteries which are included. When you activate the lights, they stay on for about 30 seconds before turning back off. This is a great way to conserve battery power.

I really like this Keepsake Ornament. I have always been a fan of the original Constitution Class Enterprise, so it isn’t much of a stretch to like this one as well. As I previously mentioned the redesign for the U.S.S. Enterprise is quite subtle, but it is just enough to fit in with the look of the other Federation ships that appear.

If you are a fan of Star Trek: The Original Series, you will love this ship. This Keepsake Ornament can be displayed year round, since nothing about it screams, “Holiday Season!” The Star Trek: Strange New Worlds U.S.S. Enterprise will released in October and retails for $32.99 USD

The next ornament is an absolute must for Doctor Who fans. Hallmark has produced Time War Dalek Sec. I only own one other Doctor Who ornament and that would be the Tardis. I liked that one because I like the sound the Tardis makes. Speaking of sounds Time War Dalek Sec is also a Magic Ornament which speaks one of 3 phrases. These phrases are:

  • Exterminate!
  • Exterminate! (This time around the line is spoken faster with a touch of urgency)
  • Elevate

I know I keep bringing up the fact you can display your ornament all year long but since this one has a flat bottom it can be displayed without the need for any special display hooks. Time War Dalek Sec measures approximately 2.3 x 3.87 x 3.18 and requires 2 LR44 batteries, which are included. He retails for $24.99

Time War Dalek Sec was sculpted by Nello Williams. You may own a couple of pieces of Williams’ work already. Williams sculpted a Chip and Dale, The Grinch, Doby the House Elf and a Cylon ornament. He puts a ton of detail into his work. I think it looks great.

If you are a Doctor Who fan this is the perfect ornament for your holiday display. I can see it now a lone Dalek delivering frankincense, myrrh and the gold he picked up along the way as gifts for the newborn.

Time War Dalek Sec is being released in October so be sure to preorder one today because once they sell out, they will not be back.

Our final Keepsake Ornament review is for the Razor Crest starship from the hit Disney + series, Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The Razor Crest is the transport/home for the main character, bounty hunter, Din Djarin.

This ship measures approximately 3.7 x 1.7 x 5.5 and requires 3 LR41 batteries (included). The Razor Crest is a Magic Ornament and it plays the main theme from Star Wars: The Mandalorian written by Ludwig Göransson. Once the music is activated a snippet of the main theme is played. The speakers in this ornament are quite impressive. If you check out our unboxing video you can hear just how good these speakers sound.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Razor Crest Keepsake Ornament retails for $34.99 USD and is scheduled for release in October. The Mandalorian is a popular show if you think you want one, it may be prudent to preorder before it is too late.

All of these Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments come in dated boxes, 2022 and the packaging allows you to remove and repack your ornament when not in use. We would like to send big thank you to our friends at Hallmark for sending these along for review.
