E.V.A.: New York Comic Con Day Four…the Final Day

Still trying to catch up from last week, maybe, “I am getting to old for this shit.” So here is the coverage from the final day of NYCC. Sunday was family day and there definitely were more tiny fans scurrying about. I also noticed so many kids dressed like bananas which I thought was peculiar and this is comic con so that is saying something. The last day is hectic to say the least. I do love the dedication of the cosplayers.

Being the final day I was able to squeeze in one panel, which was the Diamond Select Toys panel. I love seeing what new stuff they have coming down the pike because they make some amazing product. Whether you are looking at their action figures or their statues with Gentle Giant there is something for pretty much anyone’s fandom.

As New York Comic Con wraps up I have to admit that I am glad I came. I was able to reconnect with old friends and make several new ones along the way. After a couple of years without going to cons I had almost forgotten the insanity and the camaraderie of these events. It is a great feeling to be surrounded by like-minded individuals. One of the great things about conventions is that total strangers can become friends in minutes.

The curtain has come down and what appears to have been a very successful convention. I know I am not alone in wishing that this is a sign of the world inching back to a level of normalcy (whatever that means).  Until we meet again my friends…stay safe and most of all, stay geeky!
