Kara Talve is an in-demand composer and multi-instrumentalist for film and television and, as a leading composer at Bleeding Fingers Music, has strengthened a variety of projects through her extraordinary talent and keen collaboration abilities. Most recently, she scored Apple TV+’s Prehistoric Planet alongside Hans Zimmer and  Anže Rozman, which was narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Jon Favreau in conjunction with BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit. The score, which features custom built, otherworldly instruments blended with an 80 piece orchestra has received global acclaim, including a win for Best Original Score for a Documentary Series at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMAs) and a nomination for the 2022 Bulldog Television Broadcast Awards. The soundtrack of Prehistoric Planet has, to date, claimed over 80 million streams.

Kara’s passion for creating powerful storytelling experiences is best demonstrated by her ability to bolster the musical identities of narratives across a variety of genres and mediums. Now serving as composer on the iconic animated series, The Simpsons; her styles have ranged from the iconic orchestral sound of the show across nearly every other genre imaginable (including their famous annual Treehouse of Horror episodes).

Upcoming releases for Kara include Baz Luhrmann’s anticipated Faraway Downs and Adrift directed by Emmy-winning, documentary filmmaker Rory Kennedy.

Growing up as a classically-trained pianist, Kara continued her musical education and refined her skills in film scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She was recognized early in her professional career by BMI and was awarded their film scoring scholarship for her exceptional musical talent and potential for success. Before joining Bleeding Fingers in 2018, she worked at the highly regarded recording studio Sparks and Shadows, a boutique record label in Los Angeles headed by Emmy and BAFTA award-winning composer Bear McCreary. She currently resides in Los Angeles.

Slovenian composer Anže Rozman is known for elevating projects across film and television and through his work at Bleeding Fingers Music, has scored a wide range of tentpole projects. Most recently, he co-scored Apple TV+’s Prehistoric Planet alongside Hans Zimmer and Kara Talve. Narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Jon Favreau in conjunction with BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit, the score to Prehistoric Planet features custom made instruments made from fusing fossils, bones and rocks with modern orchestral instruments (such as the aptly named Raptor Violin, Hadros Cello and Fat Rex), designed to aurally transport the listener 66 million years back in time. The score for Prehistoric Planet received global acclaim, including a win for Best Original Score for a Documentary Series at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMAs) and a nomination for the 2022 Bulldog Television Broadcast Awards. To date, the soundtrack of Prehistoric Planet has claimed over 80 million streams.

Anže’s other notable projects include BBC’s The Universe and The Planets, IMAX feature The Great Bear Rainforest (co-composed with Hans Zimmer), the opening title music for BBC’s Frozen Planet II (co-composed with Hans Zimmer), and additional music for BBC’s Seven Worlds, One Planet. He also contributed arrangements to the Frozen Planet II trailer, which featured original music by Hans Zimmer and Camilla Cabello and earned him his second HMMA win.

Anže’s approach to scoring is grounded in nature and his organic process emphasizes the use of over 100 unique and custom built musical instruments and one of a kind instruments from around the world which he plays and records himself.

In the realm of concert music, Anže is recognized for his orchestral compositions which have been performed by notable orchestras including  the London Studio Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Tonhalle Orchestra of Zürich, Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Captivated by music from a young age, Anze was improvising and composing his own tunes on the piano at just nine years old. After earning a degree in composition and music theory from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana (graduating summa cum laude) and going on to pursue a master’s degree in scoring music for film, TV, and video games at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, Anže’s final project at Berklee (a 3-minute orchestral piece recorded at Air Studios in London) caught the attention of Hans Zimmer and led to an invitation to join Bleeding Fingers Music as a full-time composer in 2018. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
