Soundwaves: Wilderness–Prime Video UK Original Series Soundtrack Music by Morgan Kibby

Lakeshore Records has released Wilderness—Prime Video UK Original Series Soundtrack digitally September 15 with an original score by former M83 band member Morgan Kibby (Mothering Sunday). Kibby’s distinctive electronic score vividly enhances the tension and a wide range of emotions shared by the series’ characters in the British thriller. Prime Video’s UK Original Series directed by So Yong Kim debuted globally on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories on September 15.

Based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, Wilderness features British couple Liv (Jenna Coleman) and Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) who seem to have it all: a rock-solid marriage; a glamorous new life in New York thousands of miles from their provincial hometown; and still young enough to feel that their whole lives are ahead of them. Until Liv learns about Will’s affair. Heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. Revenge is her only option, and when Will proposes a trip around America’s epic National Parks to give their relationship a fresh start, Liv knows just how to get it…Wilderness is a twisted love story, where a dream holiday and a supposedly “happily-ever-after” quickly turns into a living nightmare.

Notes Kibby: “Working with the creators of ‘Wilderness’ was an absolute pleasure that felt musically specific and collaborative.  The genre of the show was one I have always wanted to broach, and I feel I was given a real opportunity to craft tension whilst keeping an eye on subtlety and space. It was a thrill to find a foothold into this musical storytelling.”
