Soundwaves: The Marsh King’s Daughter Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music by Adam Janota Bzowski

Lakeshore Records is set to release The Marsh King’s Daughter—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with original music by Adam Janota Bzowski (Saint Maud), digitally November 3. Janota Bzowski’s score masterfully balances both beauty and menace providing a hypnotic backdrop to the dramatic thriller. Lionsgate / Roadside Attractions and Black Bear Pictures will release the film directed by Neil Burger and starring Daisy Ridley and Ben Mendelsohn in theaters November 3.

A young mother must confront her long-buried past as the child of a kidnapper and the girl he held captive when her father breaks out of prison. Convinced he intends to take her daughters, she sets out to find and kill him herself. Notes Janota Bzowski: “Neil and I wanted the music to reflect Helena’s connection to the wilderness but also the trauma she experienced there.  The film follows her internal conflict: the pain of reconciling memories of a loving father figure with the reality of his violent behaviour.  The uneasy blend of light and dark moments is mirrored in the score’s twists and turns.” Purchase/Stream  the album: https://lnk.to/tmkd  ABOUT ADAM JANOTA BZOWSKIAdam Janota Bzowski is a fearless composer with an innovative and deeply complex textural sound world. Most recently, Adam has scored ‘Loch Henry’ for the new season of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror, Femme directed by Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping, Animal starring Rory Kinnear and Sam Claflin, Neil Burger’s The Marsh King’s Daughter, and The Origin directed by Andrew Cumming. His first feature length score for A24’s BAFTA nominated film Saint Maud won him Best Original Music at the 2020 Gérardmer Fantasticarts Film Festival as well as a Ivor Novello nomination for Best Original Score. Marrying both music and sound design, his use of groaning synths and mangled percussion is sinister, claustrophobic, unrelenting, and laid the foundations of a composer who is unafraid to push musical boundaries. As a child he was known for his fondness of the intermittent static in between radio stations, an interest that would later see him study Sound Art at University of Brighton. Whilst living in a disused biscuit factory on the English coast, Adam became involved in the ambient music scene, using an old 4-track tape recorder and guitar pedals to make compositions, a method he continues to use today.Adam is a London based composer. ABOUT LAKESHORE RECORDSLakeshore Records is a seven-time GRAMMY-winning record label, and the soundtrack arm of the Cutting Edge Media Music.  Lakeshore Records is the global independent leader in top line soundtrack album releases, including such popular, critically acclaimed and classic soundtracks as Bridgerton, Drive, Stranger Things, The Old Guard, Cyberpunk 2077, When They See Us, The Handmaid’s Tale, Black Mirror, Star Trek: Picard, Bojack Horseman, Les Miserables, Mandy, Narcos, Logan, The Walking Dead, Napoleon Dynamite, Bill and Ted Face the Music, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok, Legion, the Academy Award nominated Lady Bird and Academy Award winners Moonlight, Little Miss Sunshine, American Factory, If Beale Street Could Talk and The Hurt Locker and many, many more. Lakeshore Records works with the most respected, award-winning artists and composers such as Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, Nicholas Britell, Hans Zimmer, Grimes, Common, Jonny Greenwood, Mica Levi, Tim Hecker, Hildur Gudnadóttir, Sam Slater,  Stephanie Economou, Willie Nelson, Alexandre Desplat, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, Run the Jewels, PJ Harvey, Philip Glass, Aloe Blacc, Willie Nelson, Rhiannon Ghiddens, Daniel Lanois, Nicholas Britell, Ziggy Marley, Danny Elfman, Giorgio Moroder, Aska Matsumiya, Clint Mansell, Bootsie Collins, Thomas Newman, Kris Bowers, Cliff Martinez, Randy Newman, James Horner, Gunship, Mark Isham, Kathryn Bostic, Carter Burwell, Bear McCreary, Emile Mosseri,  Rolfe Kent, Josh Homme, Gustavo Santaolalla, Nina Kraviz, Dario Marianelli, Mark Mothersbaugh, The JBs, Gazelle Twin, Mary J.
