Lakeshore Records announces the release 
of the second single taken from the upcoming Kiss of the Spider Woman-Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, “Never You,” which is available digitally now. Performed by global superstar and Golden Globe®, SAG®, and Grammy® nominated icon Jennifer Lopez (Hustlers, Out of Sight, Selena), the strikingly emotive song gets an official first-ever high-profile inclusion in the musical film and recording.
Written by legendary songwriting duo Kander and Ebb and masterfully produced by Grammy-nominated music producer and supervisor Matt Sullivan (West Side Story, Dreamgirls), “Never You” is one of three songs that were performed in the original SUNY Purchase production of the musical in 1990 but not included in the Broadway version. The song was found to be a perfect fit for the new movie and Lopez brings an unforgettably vivid energy to the song that will no doubt establish it as a newfound classic.
The full soundtrack of 24 songs will be released on October 3, featuring songs including “She’s A Woman” performed by Tonatiuh and “Gimme Love” performed by Lopez. Additional songs included from the SUNY production are “I Will Dance Alone” and “An Everyday Man” as well as the never before released “Come Out,” available as a bonus track on the CD version. The film, which made its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it received rave reviews from critics and audiences was directed by Oscar winner Bill Condon who created a stunning new adaptation of Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel and the Tony Award-winning Broadway production. Lopez’s evocative performance on the soundtrack’s title track gives audiences their first taste of the cinematic experience to come.
