Star Wars Visions Volume 3—Original Soundtracks digitally on all major music platforms. The soundtracks feature original music from the animated short film anthology series celebrating the mythology of Star Wars. The third installment of the lauded series showcases 9 films, all of which are created by a different renowned anime studio and are streaming now on Disney+. The films also showcase some of the most celebrated international artists on 9 different accompanying soundtracks including superstar Japan-based artist Sheena Ringo (“The Bounty Hunters” episode), who, backed by Taisei Iwasaki and Ludvig Forssell, performs the effortlessly soulful song “Beyond Countless Worlds of Truth.” Another of Japan’s premiere singer-songwriters, Sakura Fujiwara (the episode titled “BLACK”), performs the exhilaratingly jazz-inflected opus “Two of Me.” The series continues to push the boundaries of creativity in both its storyline vision and its scores.
The award-winning anthology of animated short films celebrates the mythology of Star Wars through unique cultural lenses. “Star Wars: Visions” Volume 3 features nine shorts from nine different anime studios—david production, Kamikaze Douga + ANIMA, Kinema citrus Co., Polygon Pictures, Production I.G, Project Studio Q, TRIGGER, WIT Studio.
Volume 1 of “Star Wars: Visions,” which premiered in 2021, received an Emmy® nomination for the short, “The Duel.” The Emmy, Lumière, and Annie Award-winning second volume was released in 2023 and featured shorts by global animation studios, including Aardman, Cartoon Saloon, Triggerfish, and Punkrobot. With Volume 3, the animated anthology returns to where it all began with nine shorts from nine different anime studios to further demonstrate the diversity and creativity of Japanese animation. Volume 3 also expands the storyline on three of the shorts from Volume 1 “The Duel,” “The Village Bride,” and “The Ninth Jedi.”
