Soundwaves: Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 Original Series Soundtrack

Hollywood Records, Disney Branded Television, and 20th Television are celebrating the release today of PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS SEASON 2 Original Series Soundtrack with themes by award-winning composer Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power), and music by Sparks & Shadows. Their Emmy-winning score for the first season was highly praised and McCreary and team again take their distinctive and emotive orchestral soundscapes to extraordinary new heights for the second season. Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiered December 10 on Disney+, followed by new episodes weekly.

ABOUT PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS S.2

Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is based on the second installment of Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series titled The Sea of Monsters by award-winning author Rick Riordan. In the new season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

 

Percy Jackson and the Olympians stars Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood).

 

Created by Rick Riordan and Jon Steinberg, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, the Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, the Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Monica Owusu-Breen, Anders Engström, and Jet Wilkinson.

ABOUT BEAR McCREARY

Award-winning composer and recording artist Bear McCreary began his career as a protégé of legendary film composer Elmer Bernstein, before bursting onto the scene scoring the revered series Battlestar Galactica in 2004. Since then, McCreary has won three Emmy Awards, including two for Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians and one for his theme for Da Vinci’s Demons, a musical palindrome, and has won twelve International Film Music Critics Association Awards, including the award for Score of the Year in 2024, his second.
