Lakeshore Records is set to release 
Power Book IV: Force-Best of Score, Seasons 1-3 (Music from the STARZ Original TV Series), digitally today, January 16 with music by award-winning composer duo Mark Batson and Chris Hanebutt. Pounding percussion and heavy synth beats provide a tension filled backdrop to the dramatic thriller series. Season 3 of Power Book IV: Force is airing now on STARZ.
Says Batson: “Three years ago, I began a journey scoring the show Power Force with my partner Chris Hannebutt. Now in its third and final season, we have arrived at our best and most exciting work.\
Twenty years ago I began writing and producing records for 50 Cent with Dr. Dre. We worked on two of his #1 albums, a #1 single with Eminem and Mobb Deep’s biggest radio single. It’s been an amazing experience to continue to collaborate with such a musical force of nature, and to continue our creative journey by constructing the score and sonic landscape for Force, one of the most beloved shows on television today”
Adds Hanebutt: “Scoring Power Book IV: Force with my partner Mark Batson, was a total full-circle moment for me. The first actor I met when I moved to Los Angeles twenty years ago was Joseph Sekora while helping out a mutual friend with a student film. Fast forward seventeen years and the first series I scored happened to be the first series Joseph starred in. Pretty wild to say the least. Scoring Force has been one of the greatest pleasures of my career and we pulled out all the stops for the third and final season. We can’t wait for everyone to hear what we cooked up. Power never dies!”
ABOUT POWER BOOK IV: FORCE
Power Book IV: Force centers on fan-favorite character Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good. As Tommy leaves New York after losing Ghost, LaKeisha and the only city he’s ever known, he makes a quick detour to close an old wound that’s been haunting him for decades. What was supposed to be a quick stop turns into a labyrinth of family secrets and lies Tommy thought were long buried. One step leads to another and Tommy quickly finds himself in Chicago’s drug game, inserting himself between the city’s two biggest crews. In a city divided by race, Tommy straddles the line, ultimately becoming the lynchpin that not only unites them – but holds the POWER to watch them crumble. As the first season unfolds at breakneck speed, Tommy uses his outsider status to his advantage, breaking all the local rules and rewriting them on his quest to become the biggest drug dealer in Chicago.
