Lakeshore Records has released 
Spartacus: House of Ashur (Music from the STARZ Original Series), digitally, on February 6 with music by Joseph LoDuca (Evil Dead Trilogy). Pounding percussion and heavy synth beats provide a tension filled backdrop to the dramatic thriller series. Spartacus: House of Ashur produced by Lionsgate Television for STARZ, is airing now.
Says LoDuca: “Having a second chance to write and play music on Spartacus is a wish come true.

ABOUT JOSEPH LODUCA
Two-time Emmy Award winning composer (12-time Emmy nominated) Joseph LoDuca has enjoyed a prolific career in writing for film and television. He began with director Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead Trilogy and followed up in the action/fantasy genre with Xena: Warrior Princess (Emmy winner), Legend of the Seeker (Emmy winner), and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
Other television highlights include the Starz Entertainment series Spartacus (produced by Raimi/Tapert/Donen), and Turner Network Television’s Leverage (for Dean Devlin), TNT’s The Librarians, and Ash v. Evil Dead for Starz.
In film, more recent scores include thrillers Bad Samaritan (Dean Devlin) and Cult of Chucky (Don Mancini); the romantic comedies Say My Name (Jay Stern), Here:After (Harry Greenberger) and a sci/fi drama, The Deal (Orsi Nagypal).
Recent TV projects include the USA/SciFi series Chucky, the return of Leverage for Amazon/IMDb TV, and Evil Dead: The Game (Saber: Interactive).
2025 saw the return of Spartacus; House of Ashur for Lionsgate/Starz, as well as the second season of The Librarians: The Next Chapter for TNT. Feature films included the indies, One Big Happy Family for Lisa Brenner and Ernie & Emma for his old pal, Bruce Campbell.
He is currently scoring the Chuck Lorre / Big Bang spinoff, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.
Internationally, his films include Brotherhood of the Wolf (Cesar nominee for Best Score) Saint Ange, and Patagonia (directed by Marc Evans), selected as the British entry for the Foreign Language Oscar, and which included song collaborations with pop artist Duffy and operatic baritone Bryn Terfel. His body of work also features operettas, musicals and theme songs, which have earned him five Emmy nominations.
On working in film Joseph muses, “I love my role in creating a unique, emotional world for a story, and in having the chance to evoke feelings in people they may not have expected.”
