Lakeshore Records has released
Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie The Score digitally with music by the co-creator and star of the film, Jay McCarrol (Blackberry, The Kid Detective). The multi-faceted McCarrol creates a vividly imaginative orchestral backdrop to the film that continues the characters’ comedic adventures that began in the lauded mockumentary series. McCarrol’s creative process was truly inspired as he notes: “I did this entire score end to end in one day.”
This wacky time travel adventure opened Friday to an impressive per screen average of $4,001 over the four day holiday weekend, bringing a total of $1.4 million (and growing!). Finding both old fans and new audiences alike, the film is Certified Fresh 97% with Rotten Tomatoes critics and 96% with audiences. Showcasing McCarrol’s score and highlighting the power of independent film, Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie is in theaters now.
