Soundwaves: Ice Road Vengeance Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music by Michael Yezerski

Written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh (The Punisher), Liam Neeson plays an ice road trucker mourning his brother in this sequel to 2021’s The Ice Road. The Taken star takes the road less traveled in the action thriller by scaling Everest to scatter his brother’s ashes. Alas, his frigid journey is compounded when he comes up against mercenaries in the Himalayas. Luckily, he has a local guide (Fan Bingbing) by his side to help navigate the treacherous conditions.

ABOUT MICHAEL YEZERSKI

Michael Yezerski is always looking for new musical languages to express the inexpressible, resulting in music that is emotional, beautiful, intense, and surprising. His understanding of scoring in the context of storytelling has led to a wide range of commissions, all with the common thread that his scores are vital, active participants in the narratives of the work.

Michael’s scores are deeply emotive. His first film score, “The Black Balloon” (directed by Elissa Down), brought him the first of several Australian Academy of Cinematic Arts Award nominations. This score was a deeply felt rumination on optimism in the face of hardship. “Blindspotting” (directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada) explores the simplest of musical moments to make sense of a world turning inward upon itself. Recent scores such as “Feel the Beat” and the family feel-good series “Ivy+Bean” (directed by Elissa Down, Emmy Nominee, Best Original Score) focus on moments of connection and love within chaos. Michael brought tenderness and fragility to his action scores with director David Ayer in “The Tax Collector” and “Deputy.” He brought a quirky wistfulness to the Oscar-winning animated short, “The Lost Thing” (directed by Shaun Tan and Andrew Ruhemann). Michael’s latest work includes Rebel Wilson’s “The Deb”, the Liam Neeson starrer, “Ice Road: Vengeance” (Jonathan Hensleigh) and Casper Kelly’s Sundance 2026 Opener, “Buddy”.

Michael is known for his influential, boundary-pushing horror/thriller film scores. His scores for “The Devil’s Candy” (Sean Byrne) and “The Vigil” (Keith Thomas) have been widely praised. Michael collaborated again with Keith Thomas on “Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities: Pickman’s Model”, a romantic gothic epic that devolves into terror. He reteamed with Sean Byrne on the acclaimed “Dangerous Animals” (2025). Michael’s work in the dark thriller / comedy genre includes the cult favorite, Mr InBetween (FX) as well as Patrick Brice’s “Corporate Animals” (starring Demi Moore).

A multi-award-winning musical artist, Michael hails from Sydney Australia where he was mentored by some of Australia’s finest musical minds. Sydney is home to diverse musical cultures, many of which fed into Michael’s formative years as a musician. He made the move to the United States in 2014 and currently works from both Los Angeles and Sydney.
