Square Enix unveiled the final chapter to Lightning’s saga at a fan-filled 25th anniversary 
event of the FINAL FANTASY franchise. Lightning Returns, due out next year, incorporates a brand-new story, world, characters and an enhanced game play system.
This will be the first time that Final Fantasy has ever made a third version of one of their games. Previously only two games, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XIII were the only installments to have direct sequels.
