Twister, action-packed iconic disaster film directed by Jan de Bont (Speed) will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD Disc and Digital for the first time on July 9.

Twister will be available to purchase on July 9 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc from online and in-store at major retailers and available for purchase Digitally from Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home and more.

Twister stars Academy Award winner (As Good as It Gets) and four-time Emmy Award winner (“Mad About You”) Helen Hunt and Screen Actors Guild Award Winner Bill Paxton (Apollo 13).  The film also stars Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride), Jami Gertz (The Lost Boys), Lois Smith (Minority Report), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Boogie Nights), Alan Ruck (television’s “Succession”), Todd Field (Eyes Wide Shut), and Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan).

E.V.A.-Motor City Comic Con at the Suburban Collection Showcase

Convention season is underway and it is time for Motor City Comic Con. Established in 1989, Motor City has grown into a massive pop culture event for the whole family. When we arrived at the Suburban Collection Showcase we were blown away by just how many cars were in the lots and how many overflow lots were needed. Some of the lots were so far away that shuttle buses were provided to get people to the main building.

Soundwaves: New From Lakeshore Records The Silent Service Motion Picture Soundtrack by Yoshihiro Ike

Lakeshore Records is set to release The Silent Service—Prime Video Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally today, May 17, featuring music by composer Yoshihiro Ike (Shadowverse). The tension-filled orchestral score mixes eerie, mournful strings with heavy percussion to create a forbidding backdrop to the naval thriller.  The film and TV series starring Takao Osawa are streaming now on Prime Video.

While the tabloids and fan publications portrayed the Nimoys as a “close family,” to his son, Adam, Leonard Nimoy was a total stranger. The actor was as inscrutable as the iconic half-Vulcan science officer he portrayed on Star Trek, even to those close to him. Now, his son’s poignant memoir explores their complicated relationship and how it informed his views on marriage, parenting, and later, sobriety. Despite their differences, both men ventured down parallel paths: marriages leading to divorce, battling addiction, and finding recovery. Most notably, both men struggled to take the ninth step in their AA journey: to make amends with each other.

Motor City Comic Con (MC3) is Michigan’s largest and longest running comic book and pop culture convention since 1989, will be taking place this weekend. The event will feature some of the largest actors from television, movies, and the streaming industry, along with the most creative artists, writers, and comic book creators in the industry. Attendees can participate in various panel discussions, attractions, events, and explore various exhibitors.
