Vids: Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Announces Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League

“Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League,” the sequel to the 2018 anime feature film “Batman Ninja” from Warner Bros. Japan, will be available exclusively on digital on March 18 and on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on April 15.

The all-new feature film, featuring characters from DC and reimagined by Japan’s finest artists, finds Batman and his friends battling familiar faces transformed into villains in an alternate universe in a desperate attempt to save Gotham.

The sequel is directed by Jumpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi from a screenplay by Kazuki Nakashima, with character design by Takashi Okazaki and music by Yugo Kanno. Produced by Warner Bros. Japan, the film’s animation is provided by Kamikaze Douga.

In theaters now, Spyglass Media Group’s Heart Eyes is directed by Josh Ruben, written by Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon & Michael Kennedy and stars Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding. Heart Eyes is distributed by Screen Gems in the U.S. and Canada and is produced by Landon, Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks.

Wadley notes: “I’m beyond excited for audiences to experience the Heart Eyes score as a soundtrack. Blending horror, comedy, and romance was such a fun challenge, and I pulled inspiration from classic rom-com and horror composers like Alan Silvestri, Bernard Herrmann, and Krzysztof Penderecki. From the eerie three-note motif of the ‘Heart Eyes Killer’ to the love theme that fights to break through the chaos, this film and score was a blast to collaborate on with my dear friend Josh Ruben, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

Soundwaves: New from Lakeshore Records Star Trek Section 31 Original Movie Soundtrack Music by Jeff Russo

Lakeshore Records is set to release Star Trek: Section 31—Original Movie Soundtrack featuring original music by Emmy Award-winning composer Jeff Russo (Fargo, Ripley), and is available digitally today, February 14. At times intensely propulsive and at others atmospheric and beat-driven, Russo’s score vividly enhances the film. Produced by CBS Studios, the original movie stars Oscar Winner Michelle Yeoh and is streaming exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and international markets where the service is available.
 
In the movie, Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou – a character she played in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY – who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.

Hard Copy: Gantz G Returns in Omnibus Format Coming from Dark Horse Comics

Gantz, the powerful manga series from creator Hiroya Oku, has garnered a massive following since it debuted in 2000 and became a pillar of the action genre. Dark Horse Manga has brought Gantz to English in 37 traditional tankobon style paperback volumes, which have been collected into 12 omnibus volumes that gather multiple chapters in one. Now, the spin-off series within the Gantz universe will be collected in one volume with Gantz G Omnibus, written by Gantz creator Hiroya Oku and writer Tomohito Ohsaki, with art by Keita Iizuka, translated by Matthew Johnson, and lettered by Studio Cutie. Fans can place this collection next to their Gantz library in September 2025.
