Ross and Chuba excel at creating distinctive and strikingly ominous soundscapes. Two cellists, Hillary Smith and Mauro Basilio, collaborated with the endlessly creative composers and they created both atmospherically mournful and quaveringly tense backdrops to the series that explores all facets involved in the horrific actions of a serial killer and the collateral damage left in his wake. All 8 episodes of the series are streaming now on Peacock.

Vicious Music from the Paramount+ Original Movie digitally on October 10, featuring music by composer Tom Schraeder (The Dark and the Wicked). Schraeder is regarded as an inventive and sought-after composer in the genre, known for weaving unsettling textures with emotional resonance. With this score, his second collaboration with Bertino, he deepened that approach. Scoring from Bertino’s script before shooting began, Schraeder developed themes that evolved alongside the film – scaling from an initial 64-piece orchestral concept to a more intimate score that mirrors Dakota Fanning’s character’s breath, endurance, and inner unraveling.

the release of HBO’s Prime Minister Original Motion Picture Soundtrack with music by Sofia degli Alessandri (“Red, White, & Royal Blue,” “All Of You,” “Dickinson”), available today. The digital soundtrack is available at Spotify, Apple Music, and other digital platforms. The documentary from Magnolia Pictures, HBO Documentaries, CNN Films and Madison Wells is available to stream now on HBO Max.
Alessandri approached the score for PRIME MINISTER with the intention of capturing the contrasting worlds Jacinda Ardern moved between, the public demands of political leadership and the quiet, often unseen moments of motherhood. To reflect this, she wove together two distinct musical palettes: one rooted in classical instrumentation, with performances by the London Contemporary Orchestra, and another built from ambient textures, analog synths, layered vocals, and the expressive tones of the Guitarviol. Rather than serving as a backdrop, Sofia’s score becomes an emotional guide through the film, echoing its personal lens and enhancing the nuance of Ardern’s story.
