Once a year, usually on the coldest Saturday in February, Hasbro holds a preview of their upcoming toys. The press are invited in (after standing in the cold for what seems like forever) to see some of the amazing offerings from this classic toy company.
This year the big thing is of course Star Wars and not just the current film but the upcoming Rogue One. Sadly, Rogue One was not displayed, but there was enough to please fans and collectors alike. The new figures in the Star Wars Black line are definitely drool worthy. Figures to be released this year include two figures from the Disney XD series, Star Wars: Rebels, Sabine and Kanan. Also being released is a figure of Darth Revan which fans will love. I really like the Black Series and now that they have started producing vehicles for the line I will always be broke.
Marvel was also highly represented in the showroom with some really awesome Legends figures set for release. This year also will see the release of Captain America: Civil War and the highly anticipated Doctor Strange movie. The figures for these two properties look great. Hasbro is also producing 12 inch Legends figures with multiple points of poseability. These look much nicer than 12 inch Titan line.
Hasbro also showed off some new Nerf and Rebelle blasters and bows. The Rebelle line also has some blasters tied into the Divergent movie series which premieres its final installment in March. Dart blasters are always popular and Hasbro keeps coming up with awesome designs.
