of pop culture events, today announced that the cast of The Lord of the Rings film trilogy is heading to Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) 2025. Cast members Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Goonies), and John Rhys-Davies (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) will be heading to the pop culture convention for Photo Ops, Autographing, and a joint cast panel. C2E2 returns to McCormick Place on April 11 – 13, 2025.
Lakeshore Records has released Nickel
Boys—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally, on December 6 featuring an original score by composers Alex Somers and Scott Alario. The ethereal and often dissonant sound of the score augments the intense storyline and striking stylistic elements of the movie based on Colson Whitehead’s novel The Nickel Boys. Directed by RaMell Ross and starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Ethan Herisse, Brandon Wilson, Hamish Linklater, Fred Hechinger,and Daveed Diggs, the Orion Pictures / Amazon MGM Studios release hits select theaters on December 13.
Sony Music Masterworks is excited to 
announce the release of the Dune: Prophecy (Soundtrack from the HBO® Original Series) – Volume 2 with music by Academy Award-winning composer Volker Bertelmann (“Conclave”, “All Quiet on The Western Front”). The soundtrack is available now, on digital platforms with the series airing on HBO and available to stream on MAX now with new episodes every Sunday.

Paramount+ today revealed the official 
trailer for its original movie STAR TREK: SECTION 31 during the Paramount+ presentation at CCXP in São Paolo, Brazil. The movie will premiere on Friday, January 24, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and international markets where the service is available. The official key art for the highly anticipated movie was also revealed.
In the movie, Yeoh reprises her fan-favorite role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou – a character she played in STAR TREK: DISCOVERY’s first season – who joins a secret division of Starfleet. Tasked with protecting the United Federation of Planets, she also must face the sins of her past.
The STAR WARS Gift the Galaxy campaign 
continues with the reveal of the Wookie Jedi figure, STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES JEDI MASTER KELNACCA. This will be available to pre-order starting tomorrow, on December 4 at 1PM ET on Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers.
