Transmissions: Syfy Channel Announces Their Summer Schedule

Syfy continues to roll out an ambitious slate of original programmiSyfy_logong, with its Summer 2015 programming schedule announced today. The slate includes two new scripted series: Killjoys, from the producers of Orphan Black, and Dark Matter, from the writers of Stargate Atlantis. Also on tap are the new unscripted game show Geeks Who Drink, hosted and executive produced by Zachary Levi; and returning seasons of scripted originals Defiance and Dominion, as well as fan-favorite Face Off. Props like the light saber from Star Wars, Harry Potter’s wand, and the red phone from Batman 1966 but I feel that there is no more iconic prop than the phaser from Star Trek. Transmissions: Syfy Greenlights ‘Geeks Who Drink’ With Zachary Levi as EP and Host

Syfy announced today that Zachary Levi, star of NBC’s ChuckSyfy_logo and upcoming Heroes Reborn, will executive produce and host the game show Geeks Who Drink through one of his production arms, The Nerd Machine. The weekly series is based on the pub trivia contest of the same name, which has become a nationwide phenomenon with more than 25,000 people participating in over 600 bars across 35 states. E.V.A.: Fantasticon Puts out the Call to All Geeks…Assemble in Downtown Toledo

I have traveled far and wide to attend comic book (and simDSCN0647ilar) conventions but this is the first time that I attended one in Toledo, Ohio. I was sure that there had been comic conventions here before, but I was told that was a misconception. I was informed that other comic book shows that had been held in Toledo were mostly just large dealer shows. Those events lacked media guests and panels, both of which are big draws for the fans.
