drama series version of the classic Bram Stoker novel starring Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors,” “Elvis”) in the title role. It was announced jointly today by Universal Television Executive Vice President Bela Bajaria, and Sky’s Head of Drama, Anne Mensah.

Vids: Stargate: Atlantis Coming to Blu-ray in August
The Stargate was discovered in Egypt in 1928 and for decade
s it was shrouded in mystery. The true purpose of the gate was finally discovered when Dr. Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) was brought to the Stargate project. Jackson determined that the symbols on the gate could be used to “dial” another gate. Soon it was determined that there was a vast network of gates connecting hundreds of worlds within our galaxy. While searching to find something to defeat Anubis SG-1 found an abandoned alien outpost in Antarctica. It was there they also found clues to the lost city of Atlantis. The team hypothesized that they could use the Stargate to get to Atlantis despite the city being in the Pegasus Galaxy. Continue reading
