Equipment: The 13th Series of Alien Figures from NECA Pay Homage to some Classic Kenner Toys
I don’t know why I can’t wrap my head around
the fact that Alien is 40 years old, as cliché as it sounds, it feels like yesterday. When Alien was released Star Wars a big thing, especially when it came to merchandise. To jump on the merchandising bandwagon Kenner released an Alien figure with movable mouth and limited articulation. As you would assume it didn’t sell well. Toys were marketed for children and there weren’t many children going to see an “R” rated movie filled with guts and gore (it was a different time). It wasn’t until 1992 that Alien toys made a comeback. Cashing in on the popularity of James Cameron’s Aliens movie this new toy line took their inspiration from that movie. Continue reading
Hard Copy: Alien Covenant: David’s Drawings from Titan Books
I don’t know what it is about the Weyland
Corporation’s androids. They either don’t have any safeguards to keep them from going against their orders about taking human life or they go psychotic kill in the name of science. I think the only normal one was Bishop in Aliens. He was willing to put himself in harm’s way to save the marines and even when he was ripped in half he saved Newt. The rest of the ones we have met may have had some screws loose. Continue reading

Equipment: A Review of The Marvel Select Avengers: Infinity War Thor and Groot from Diamond Select Toys
The events of Avengers: Infinity War has left a
mark on the galaxy (and small piles of dust everywhere) and now the Endgame is right around the corner. Before we reach the final chapter, let us take a look at Thor. He is the God of Thunder, he is one of last surviving Asgardians and he is an Avenger. In a short span of time he lost his hammer, he lost his flowing locks, he lost his homeworld and since Thanos’ snap he has lost friends. I think this pretty much sums up the man Drax once described as, “…like a pirate had a baby with an angel.” Continue reading
Equipment: A Review of The Marvel Select Avengers: Infinity War Captain America figure from Diamond Select Toys
I have to say that it is very hard to review Marvel Select f
igures from Diamond. The problem is that Diamond produces quality figures at an affordable price and they usually are super poseable. So now with that off my chest lets dive into our review. Since Avengers: Endgame is just about a week away I thought reviewing an Avengers figure was a good idea. This time around we are evaluating the Captain America figure from Avengers: Infinity War.
