Anime distributor AnimEigo delivers the sequel to the action-packed anime classic, BUBBLEGUN CRISIS, as it announces the Blu-ray home media release of BUBBLEGUM CRASH on January 21, 2025.

Times are changing in MegaTokyo. Boomers are no longer seen as a scourge, but rather, the city’s saviors – heralds of a new, prosperous era. With the Knight Sabers’ mission supposedly accomplished, their leader, Sylia, suddenly disappears, leaving the team to go their separate ways. In the meantime, a dangerous cabal of power-suited mercenaries start hunting for a revolutionary AI that’s about to change the world. Keenly aware of the consequences, Sylia gets the band back together. Equipped with even bigger and badder hard suits, the Knight Sabers now find themselves entangled in a conflict seemingly orchestrated by a voice from the past.

Soundwaves: New York Comic Con: Bear McCreary to Spotlight “The Singularity” with Special Guest Rufus Wainwright

Bear McCreary, the celebrated composer of projects as diverse as The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Walking Dead, God of War, Outlander, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Battlestar Galactica and Percy Jackson and the Olympians, will spotlight his new rock concept album and graphic novel companion, The Singularity, on Friday, October 18, at New York Comic Con. The panel, entitled “Bear McCreary: Musical World-Building,” will take place from 2:30–3:30 p.m. on the Main Stage of the Javits Center.

McCreary, a Grammy-nominated and Emmy & BAFTA Award-winning composer, will discuss The Singularityas he continues to explore the dramatic impact of music on the creation of fictional worlds, fueled by collaborations with artists from across all disciplines. Those collaborators include his fellow panelists, all integral Singularity contributors from the music and comics realms, including Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter/composer Rufus Wainwright, renowned writer Mat Groom (Inferno Girl Red, Self/Made), comics writer & filmmaker Kyle Higgins (Radiant Black, No/One), and Eisner and Harvey Award-winning cartoonist Ramón K. Pérez (Jim Henson’s Tale of Sand, Jane).

The Marvel portion Hasbro Pulse Con 2024 gave us a look at the retro packaged Secret Wars figures. I think that every kid in the 1980s had at least one of the Secret Wars figures in their collection. I know that I had the Captain America.

Soundwaves: The Thicket Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music by Ray Suen

Lakeshore Records is set to release The Thicket– Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally today, September 13 featuring music by Ray Suen. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Suen has performed alongside an A-list of rock, alternative, pop, jazz, country and hip-hop music royalty—Vampire Weekend, The Killers, The Flaming Lips and The Breeders to Mariachi El Bronx, Lorde, Childish Gambino and Mickey Guyton, Suen’s driving and atmospheric soundscapes created on strings, synths and pedal steel guitar provide a dramatic accompaniment to the brutal western thriller (and first film score).  The film directed by Elliott Lester starring Peter Dinklage, Juliette Lewis, Levon Hawke, Esmé Creed-Miles and James Hetfield is streaming on Tubi now.

During Hasbro Pulse Con 2024 fans learned about the upcoming releases for some of Hasbro’s most popular brands including Marvel, Star Wars and of course Transformers. The Transformers are an enduring toy line that is popular with not only youngsters but those young at heart. Honestly, I don’t believe anyone ever grows out of collecting Transformers.

E.V.A.: MAX Kicks Off Campaign for HBO® Original DUNE: PROPHECY With Fan Experience and Exclusive Panel At New York Comic Con

Ahead of the highly anticipated debut of the HBO Original drama series DUNE: PROPHECY, co-produced with Legendary Television, Max is treating fans to a robust lineup of special appearances, activations, and screenings. DUNE: PROPHECY debuts on HBO and Max this November. 

The first event will take place at New York Comic Con, where Max will launch Dune: Prophecy Experience, an interactive fan activation, on Thursday, October 17 in partnership with Droga5. Also on Thursday, October 17, the show’s stars and creative team will hit the convention’s Empire Stage to reveal the official trailer and participate in a panel discussion.
