Lakeshore Records has released Hunters Season 2—Music From The Original Series on Prime Video digitally featuring music by award-winning composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (The Crown). The score features orchestra and choir which Gregson-Williams utilizes to grand effect weaving a multi-layered backdrop to the action thriller. The final season of the series created and executive produced by David Weil and starring Al Pacino and Jennifer Jason Leigh debuted globally on Prime Video on January 13.
After an accident derails their exploits in Europe, the Hunters must band back together to hunt down history’s most infamous Nazi, Adolf Hitler, who’s hiding in South America. Meanwhile, a look to the past reveals Meyer Offerman (Al Pacino) encountering a dangerous threat that could unravel his secret and expose his true identity, with explosive reverberations for our Hunters.
Al Pacino returns for the epic series conclusion of Hunters, alongside previously announced new series regular Jennifer Jason Leigh and returning series regulars Logan Lerman, Jerrika Hinton, Lena Olin, Josh Radnor, Tiffany Boone, Carol Kane, Louis Ozawa, Kate Mulvany, and Greg Austin.
Gregson-Williams notes: “Working with a talented and enthusiastic writer, who is also the show runner is an enormous thrill on a TV show, and the collaboration with David Weil proved to be a great ride. The cultural depth, emotions and musical language of the Hunters gave me so much to feed off. The darkness and humour offset it all too. Amazon were very supportive in giving me the support to use choir and orchestra, as well as all the fabulous solo artists I had to hand. I hope people enjoy the soundtrack album.”
