Sony Music Masterworks today
releases MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – THE FINAL RECKONING (MUSIC FROM THE MOTION PICTURE) by composers MAX ARUJ and ALFIE GODFREY. Available everywhere now, the album features music co-composed by the duo for the eighth installment in the iconic action film franchise from director Christopher McQuarrie starring Tom Cruise. The 42-track collection finds the composers building upon the musical legacy of the franchise, delivering a high-octane soundscape that pays homage to the much-loved music of past films while also establishing a freshly unique sound for the new chapter. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is available exclusively in theaters now from Paramount Pictures and Skydance.
Of the score, co-composer ALFIE GODFREY says, “We recognized the extraordinary ambition and bold risk-taking that Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie embraced to bring this spectacular film to life. With a legacy of generation-defining composers shaping the sound of the franchise over decades, the score rises to meet that history. It’s an adrenaline-charged, emotionally resonant soundtrack—perfectly suited for a film destined to be remembered as one of the most audacious action epics of our time.”
“Scoring The Final Reckoning was an incredibly rewarding experience,” adds co-composer MAX ARUJ. “The dedication and talent of the entire music team were extraordinary, and collaborating with McQ and Tom was a true pleasure from the start. We’re proud of the score we’ve created and hope it becomes a meaningful addition to this iconic franchise.”
