The events of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
left the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in dire straits. Kirk and his officers had blatantly disobeyed Starfleet’s orders not to go to the “Genesis Planet.” To get there they stole Enterprise to use as transportation and subsequently lost her in a battle with a Klingon Bird of Prey. Eventually, they made it to Vulcan so Spock’s katra could be removed from Dr. McCoy and placed back in Spock. Everyone involved remained on Vulcan in order to hide out from Starfleet. Eventually (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home) the decision was made to return to Earth and stand trial for their crimes. Using the stolen Klingon Bird of Prey, which they dubbed HMS Bounty, the former crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise went home. Continue reading

As Autumn is upon us, Citizen is launching
new styles to it Star Wars Collection for consumers to commemorate the iconic franchise.
The Star Wars Ana-Digi Collection was created to have a vintage appeal and authentic styling that pays homage to the Original Trilogy. Equipment: Star Wars the Black Series Gaming Greats 6-Inch RC-1138 (BOSS) Figure Coming Exclusively to GameStop
This past Tuesday Hasbro announced another
retailer exclusive. The figure this time is another video game related Gaming Great which is set to be only available at GameStop. Personally, I really like the Gaming Greats figures even though some of them are just repaints. While others receive different accessories just to make the figure appear a bit altered. One of my favorites is the Scout Trooper from Star Wars: Fallen Order. Even though he is just like the other Scout Troopers I have he came with an electro riot baton and a shoulder pauldron, thus I needed that for my collection as well.

Equipment: Marvel Select Gladiator Hulk from Diamond Select Toys
I have heard collectors use the term “grail” 
when referring to a highly sought after figure or item. I don’t think that there was any one figure out there that I needed so much that I would call it my “grail.” The only figure that might meet these criteria would have to be the Gladiator Hulk in the Marvel Select line from Diamond Select Toys. I missed out when it was first released and I thought I would never have one for my collection; this is the one time that being wrong was a good thing. I finally have my Hulk. Continue reading

Long before superhero movies were main-stream; 
a time when comics were only for little kids and adults who still lived with their parents, I was a big Captain America fan. Soundwaves: The Dune Sketchbook Music from the Soundtrack
WaterTower Music has released The Dune Sketchbook
(Music from the Soundtrack), the first of three separate album releases of music from and in celebration of Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures’ “Dune,” the highly-anticipated adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal bestselling book from Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Denis Villeneuve (“Arrival,” “Blade Runner 2049”). All three albums feature the music of legendary composer Hans Zimmer (Interstellar, Inception, Gladiator, Dark Knight Trilogy), and this album is being released in conjunction with the film’s Sept 3 world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia, directed by Alberto Barbera. The film was scheduled to open around the world beginning September 15, and in the U.S. on October 22 in theaters and on HBO Max. Continue reading
