Star Wars: The Last Jedi introduced fans to yet 
another strong female character, Rose Tico. Rose was a maintenance worker on the Rebel flagship when she is introduced but her story didn’t start there. According to the book Rose Tico Resistance Fighter by Jason Fry, Rose came from a mining colony before becoming a member of the Rebel Alliance.
