Soundwaves: New from Milan Records-Pluribus the Original Soundtrack
Milan Records today releases the 
first of new music from Apple TV’s highly anticipated drama PLURIBUS, the new science fiction series from Breaking Bad creator and Better Call Saul co-creator Vince Gilligan. Available everywhere now is the series’ main title theme by acclaimed composer DAVE PORTER as well as an original cover by Turkish singer MURAT EVGIN of “Nobody Told Me” written by John Lennon. The project reunites creator Vince Gilligan with composer Dave Porter and music supervisor Thomas Golubić following their creative collaborations on both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. For the project, Thomas Golubić was tasked with sourcing a series of cross-cultural covers and songs performed by artists from across the globe, with each song serving as distinct episodic end credit themes. Today’s release will be followed by a series of individual single releases for the featured songs as well as two albums of score music by Dave Porter. Starring Rhea Seehorn, who earned two Emmy nominations for her acclaimed performance in Better Call Saul, Pluribus makes its global debut on Apple TV today, with its first two episodes available now – watch here.

Soundwaves: Deva Mahal Reimagines “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” for Cantinuum Grammy-Winning Producer Scott Jacoby’s New Endeavor
Cantinuum, a new music project 
conceived by Grammy-winning producer, writer and mixer Scott Jacoby (AKA SCOJAC), and collaborator Sarah Tamir, is celebrating the release of a new single—an extraordinary reimagining of the classic Cyndi Lauper hit “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Performed by the award-winning singer-songwriter Deva Mahal (daughter of Taj Mahal), the song is transformed into a rich ballad anchored by her vivid vocals and soulfully languid arrangement. Produced by Jacoby and Tamir, the song includes Paul “Papabear” Johnson on bass and Sherrod Barnes on guitar. Jacoby plays drums and Tamir and Jacoby are both on keyboards. Mahal’s sublime reinterpretation is the second in a series of recordings that began with Cantinuum’s reworking of “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” performed by The Roots’ Martin Luther McCoy.

is set to release Hallow Road Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally today, October 31 with an original score by composers Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible—Fallout, Black Widow), and Peter Adams (Survive, Going All the Way). The score utilizes synths, strings and layered woodwinds to create a dark and atmospheric backdrop to the horror thriller. The composers also take inspiration from Depeche Mode’s 1987 song “Behind The Wheel” in both a slow and haunting version that showcases a ghostly muted choir as well as creating six more tracks that are menacing variations on the song. The XYZ film is back in theaters this weekend in a special double feature with Vincent Must Die.

Star Wars Visions Volume 3—Original Soundtracks digitally on all major music platforms. The soundtracks feature original music from the animated short film anthology series celebrating the mythology of Star Wars. The third installment of the lauded series showcases 9 films, all of which are created by a different renowned anime studio and are streaming now on Disney+. The films also showcase some of the most celebrated international artists on 9 different accompanying soundtracks including superstar Japan-based artist Sheena Ringo (“The Bounty Hunters” episode), who, backed by Taisei Iwasaki and Ludvig Forssell, performs the effortlessly soulful song “Beyond Countless Worlds of Truth.” Another of Japan’s premiere singer-songwriters, Sakura Fujiwara (the episode titled “BLACK”), performs the exhilaratingly jazz-inflected opus “Two of Me.” The series continues to push the boundaries of creativity in both its storyline vision and its scores.
