Comic Con is always memorable for one thing or another. This year at New York Comic Con we had one of those moments. We were fortunate enough to be able to interview the former CEO of Funko and the creator of Thrilljoy Collectibles, Brian Mariotti.

These new collectibles from Thrilljoy look similar to what is available currently from other companies but Thrilljoy is a step beyond. The characters from Thrilljoy are packaged in shadow boxes. I think that the shadow box definitely adds to the presentation while sitting on a shelf.

Vids: Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Announces Joker: Folie À Deux

From acclaimed writer/director/producer Todd Phillips comes Joker: Folie À Deux, the follow-up to 2019’s Academy Award-winning Joker, which earned more than $1 billion at the global box office. The new film stars Joaquin Phoenix once again in his Oscar-winning dual role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, opposite Oscar winner Lady Gaga (“A Star Is Born”). Joker: Folie À Deux debuts for purchase and rental digitally at home on October 29.

On October 29, Joker: Folie À Deux will be available for early Premium Digital Ownership at home and for 48-hour rental via PVOD on participating digital platforms where you purchase or rent movies, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Fandango at Home, and more.

 On December 17, Joker: Folie À Deux will be available to own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD from online and physical retailers. Joker: Folie À Deux will also continue to be available to own in high definition and standard definition from participating digital retailers.

E.V.A.- New York Comic Con Day Two…the Insanity Continues…

Comic Con day 2 was a total blast. Aside from running into old friends and multiple cosplayers there were amazing companies we spoke with and products galore. Our first stop of the day was Volante Design and they are always a joy. David Volante is so proud of his company, as well he should be because their products are top notch. David gave me a great interview which will be posted soon

We also dropped by the Fanhome booth and met the great Todd Stashwick who was signing at the booth. Fanhome , if you didn’t know is a subscription service for the geek in you! They have Batman, the Fast and Furious, NASCAR, Transformers and of course, Star Trek. I really can’t wait for these ships to hit.

E.V.A.- New York Comic Con (NYCC) Day One 2024

Day one of New York Comic Con (NYCC) is in the books and damn am I exhausted. I am tooling around in wheelchair with someone pushing me and I am still fighting sleep at an early out…but hey it is convention time, sleep is irrelevant. Day one was crowded, almost Saturday packed but that is good for the fans and the vendors, so I guess it is a good thing. I have to say I miss when Thursday was open for press early in the day with the show opening for everyone around 4 o’clock but those days are gone.

Vids: Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Announces Watchmen Chapter II

Based on DC’s acclaimed graphic novel co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, Watchmen Chapter II, the second part of the all-new animated two-part feature film from Warner Bros. Animation and Paramount, will be released on Digital on November 26 and on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on December 3.

The animated feature concludes the faithful adaptation of the groundbreaking graphic novel series by writer Alan Moore and illustrator Dave Gibbons, which redefined the superhero genre when it debuted in the mid-1980s.

Watchmen Chapter I and Watchmen Chapter II delve into the gritty and complex world of masked vigilantes in an alternate version of America during the Cold War era. The “Watchmen” saga remains a cornerstone of comic book literature, having garnered numerous awards and accolades over the decades.
