Equipment: Hasbro Introducing New Packaging for Its 6-Inch Collector Figures

A while back in an effort to reduce plastic waste, Hasbro began packaging figures in window-less boxes. Needless to say, many collectors were not fans of this type of packaging, especially since you could not see what was in the box. Personally, I had two instances where the figure had been swapped out. I have gotten to the point where I am opening the figure at the register while I am paying.

Hasbro sent out a press release regarding the new packaging. They also sent along some photos of the new packaging for Star Wars, G.I. Joe Classified and Marvel Legends. Read the press release below and check out the photos, some of which I don’t think they have been shown yet.

Soundwaves: Little Wing Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music by Anne Nikitin from Lakeshore Records

Lakeshore Records has released Little Wing—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on featuring an original score by composer Anne Nikitin (Hijack, One Day, American Animals). Niktiin’s use of electronics, strings, percussion and vocalizations results in a hauntingly modern backdrop to the film inspired by the New Yorker article by Susan Orlean.  The Paramount+ Original Movie starring Brian Cox and Kelly Reilly is streaming in the U.S., Canada, UK and Australia now.

Vids: The Ocean’s Trilogy Arrives on 4K Ultra HD Coming from Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment April 30

The trilogy of beloved crime heist films – Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve, and Ocean’s Thirteen – from Academy Award winning director Steven Soderbergh and starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Andy Garcia, will be available for purchase on 4K Ultra HD Disc and Digital for the first time on April 30.

Inspired by and based on the 1960 heist film Ocean’s 11, the three films are directed by Soderbergh from screenplays by Ted Griffin, George Nolfi, and Brian Koppelman & David Levien respectively, and produced by Jerry Weintraub.

The first action-thriller of 2024, The Beekeeper, from Amazon MGM Studios, will be available for purchase on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on April 23.

Directed by David Ayer (“Fury”, “End of Watch”) from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer (“Salt”, “Expend4bles”), the film is produced by Bill Block, Jason Statham, David Ayer, Chris Long, Kurt Wimmer.

The Beekeeper stars Jason Statham (“The Meg,” “Furious 7”, “The Fate of the Furious,” The “Transporter” films), Emmy Raver-Lampman (TV’s “The Umbrella Academy”), Josh Hutcherson (“The Hunger Games” films), Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver (“Good Will Hunting”), Phylicia Rashad (“Creed”) and Jeremy Irons (TV’s “Watchmen”).

Today, Hasbro announced several new additions inspired by the Dark Side of the Force with the all new Star Wars: The Black Series Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 3-Pack, Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Captain Enoch & Thrawn’s Night Troopers pack, as well as Darth Vader, and Stormtrooper as the two appeared in Star Wars: A New Hope! E.V.A.: Fantasticon Beams into Downtown Toledo with Something for the Whole Family

Fantasticon returned to Toledo this weekend with a great guest list from local talent to stars of television and movies. I have to say that I love when a convention comes to Toledo; this town needs to have more shows like Fantasticon.

One of the things I enjoy about Fantasticon is that the staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. I have been to many conventions over the years and Fantasticon has the most chill vibe. Even the guests were more laid back and approachable than you see at some of the bigger cons. I don’t know what the organizers do to make the show more inviting but whatever it is I hope it never changes.
