McFarlane Toys, a global leader in the 
action figure industry, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) announced today a partnership to bring a new line of premium collectible Wizarding World action figures to mass and specialty retailers.

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack ($39.99 SRP) and Blu-ray Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP) as well as on Digital ($19.99 HD, $14.99 SD). The 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack features an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc in 4K with HDR and a Blu-ray disc featuring the film; the Blu-ray Combo Pack features the film in hi-definition. Our fascination with robots probably
goes back to Fritz Lang’s movie, Metropolis. Over time, robots have come in many forms; personally I think the humanoid form is the most interesting. Much like the “skin jobs” in Philip K. Dick’s work, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, the idea of a machine that can pass as human is both beautiful and frightening.
Many of us will never live to see a world where androids similar to the ones from Blade Runner or Westworld exist. The closest we may ever come in my lifetime to these androids are in toy form. I have several android action figures but when I first saw the Synthetic Human figure from 1000Toys I was simply blown away. I had never seen a figure with so much poseability. The fact that it wasn’t “human” made it all the more intriguing to me. The design reminded me of a cross between the T-800 (from the Terminator) with shades of Sonny from the film I Robot. James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes was
Steve Rogers’ best friend growing up. When World War II broke out, Barnes enlisted leaving Steve behind. Eventually Steve was able to join the war effort himself when he was chosen for the Super Soldier program. The Super Soldier program was a success and Steve Rogers became Captain America. When Rogers formed his strike team, known as the Howling Commandos he recruited Barnes. Sadly it was on one of these missions that Bucky Barnes met his end, but that was only the beginning for Cap’s best friend. Continue reading
Thanks to the success of the Marvel 
Cinematic Universe (MCU) superheroes are everywhere. I know I have said it before but where were these toys when we were kids? Sure we had G.I. Joes and we could pretend that a particular Joe was Captain America or Thor but there really wasn’t any way to piece together a proper Bat-suit or Iron Man armor for a 12-inch figure. Now kids of all ages can have an action figure of their favorite hero. Needless to say you wouldn’t give an expensive 12 inch fully poseable figure to a little kid. Continue reading
