Lakeshore Records announces the release of the title track from the upcoming Kiss of the Spider Woman Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, available digitally now. Performed by global superstar and Golden Globe®, SAG®, and Grammy® nominated icon Jennifer Lopez (Hustlers, Out of Sight, Selena), the dazzling single sets the stage for the film’s highly anticipated theatrical release on October 10.

The title track “Kiss Of The Spider Woman” written by legendary songwriting duo Kander and Ebb has been masterfully produced and arranged by Grammy-nominated music producer and supervisor Matt Sullivan (West Side Story, Dreamgirls). Orchestrated to cinematic perfection, the song captures the intoxicating allure of the Spider Woman herself, brought to life by Lopez in a performance that The Hollywood Reporter praised as “one of the best roles of her career as Luna, putting her singing and dancing bona fides to excellent use.”

Soundwaves: Americana Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Music by David Fleming

Lakeshore Records has released Americana Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on September 5 with an original score by Emmy-winning composer David Fleming (Superman). Starting with an orchestra recorded in Nashville, Fleming embraces country and western music with his use of dulcimers, pedal steel guitar, mandolin, fiddle, vintage piano and electric bass, creating a richly atmospheric score steeped in vintage American musical traditions. Michael Geiger’s deep vocalizations further anchor the vivid soundscapes throughout. The neo-western crime thriller released by Lionsgate starring Sydney Sweeney and Paul Walter Hauser is in theaters now.

Lakeshore Records has released the single “Song From the Ninth Floor: Main Title from The Paper” performed by The Scrantones. The song was written by Nicholas Thorburn and Bryan Patrick Ford.  The brief but peppy melody sets the tone for the highly anticipated series from the creator of The Office, Greg Daniels. The Universal Television series starring Domhnall Gleason is currently streaming two new episodes every Thursday through September 25 on Peacock.

Soundwaves: Hollywood Records Releases “STRANGE BREW”, Single from Alien: Earth by Noah Hawley and Jeff Russo

Today FX and Hollywood Records released “Strange Brew”, a new single from the hit original sci-fi series “Alien: Earth”. The track is a cover of the classic song made famous by British rock supergroup, Cream, and is performed by “Alien: Earth” series creator Noah Hawley and series composer, Jeff Russo.

Russo shares, “It’s always so great to get into the studio with Noah to make music. Making ‘Strange Brew’ was a blast, and it gave us the opportunity to make a full version of our titles for the show.”

Lakeshore Records releases The Toxic Avenger — Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring a wildly eclectic score and original songs by composers Brooke and Will Blair. In this unhinged reimagining of Lloyd Kaufman’s 1984 cult classic, the Blair Brothers capture the chaos, the silliness and the triumphant heart of the original Troma trilogy.
 
The guitar-drenched orchestral score careens from surfy crime-jazz and occult rock to Bossa Nova, classic superhero motifs, and an unhinged take on Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain” (featured in the original Toxic Avenger) — complete with burps, farts, and the Prague Philharmonic. The pair also deliver original songs, including the nu-rap/slop-rock hit “(We Are) Crazy and Dangerous” from on-screen goth villains The Killer Nutz, their B-side “My Baby is an Axe,” and the classic Doo Wop ode to young lovers “The Good Things” by fictional ’50s group The Whoopsie Dews.
