Vids: AnimEigo Announces HD Blu-ray Release of A Time Slip of 10,000 Years: Prime Rose

Anime distributor announced the home media license for A Time Slip of 10,000 Years: Prime Rose during its panel at Anime NYC. The fantasy adventure feature film is based on a manga by legendary creator Osamu Tezuka and will be released as an HD Blu-ray edition next year. AnimEigo and parent company MediaOCD acquired the license from SkySet Entertainment.

Osamu Tezuka is widely celebrated as the “Godfather of Manga,” and is renowned for revolutionizing the Japanese manga and anime industries with his imaginative characters, pioneering storytelling techniques and prolific output, which included more than 700 manga works and 500 anime episodes, including groundbreaking works like Astro Boy, Princess Knight, and Kimba the White Lion.

Lakeshore Records announces the release of Watchmen Chapter I & II—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack composed by Tim Kelly, arriving on all major digital music platforms today, August 22, 2025. The score accompanies Warner Bros. Animation’s two-part feature films directed and produced by Brandon Vietti (Batman: Under the Red Hood, Young Justice), which reimagines the groundbreaking Watchmen graphic novel through a meticulously faithful yet sonically bold lens.

Vietti’s Watchmen adaptation captures the essence of the legendary 1986 comic created by Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, and John Higgins, while pushing the medium into new territory. Doogan, who has had an indelible hand in shaping the sound of bands such as Belle and Sebastian, Mogwai and Teenage Fanclub, has incorporated his own hand-picked musicians that enable him to create a multi-faceted atmospheric score that evokes the dread, paranoia and apprehension that permeates the high-tension thriller. Vids: AnimEigo Announces Home Media Release of METAL SKIN PANIC MADOX-01

Anime distributor AnimEigo and parent company MediaOCD have announced the home media Blu-ray release of the OVA (Original Video Animation) Metal Skin Panic Madox-01 on September 16th.

The content has been reauthored for this new release and features a trove of bonus features including two director commentary tracks, cast interviews, and a “Weapons of MADOX” featurette showcasing an array of Japan Self-Defense Force military vehicles.

Originally released in 1987 Metal Skin Panic Madox-01 was produced by AIC, Soeishinsha and Pony Canyon and was directed and conceptualized by Shinji Aramaki, who went on to direct numerous highly acclaimed anime productions such as Appleseed, Harlock: Space Pirate, Evangelion: Another Impact, Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2045, and Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
