Another year and another Toy Fair under our belts, time truly does fly. This year was different because I had staff. Actually calling them staff almost seems like an insult since Rob Banks from The Red Cup Review and The Domination are so much more than just helpers. Giant shout outs to them both.

No matter how hard I work at Toy Fair I feel that I don’t get anything accomplished. The show is massive. I know that there are things I have never had the chance to see in the 7 years I have been attending. It would be nice if we had a full week at Toy Fair. That would work out for me, but I don’t think that the vendors would agree. Continue reading →

Equipment: McFarlane Toys The Walking Dead Negan Merciless Edition 10-Inch Figure

When Negan and the Saviors arrived on The Walking Dead everything changed. Negan was the most sadistic and vile of all of the villains that Rick and company had ever encountered. Negan and his brutal group took whatever they wanted from whomever they came across and that included taking innocent lives. Fans seem to love Negan though. He is, to use the cliché phrase, the one you love to hate. Regardless of whether you love him or completely despise him you have to admit that Jeffery Dean Morgan gives an excellent performance. Equipment: DC Collectibles Reveals New 2018 Slate Ahead of NY Toy Fair

DC Collectibles, the award-winning line of collectibles from DC Entertainment, will celebrate 20 years of toy-making at this year’s American International Toy Fair in New York. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, DC Collectibles revealed huge plans for its 2018 lineup, including several high-profile collaborations such as a life-size bust of The Joker designed by one of Hollywood’s most celebrated special makeup effects artists, Rick Baker.

DC Collectibles also recruited My Chemical Romance frontman and DC’s Young Animal curator Gerard Way to put his own spin on DC’s iconic Batman and The Joker characters for the company’s longest-running statue line, Batman: Black & White. Other collectibles on tap for 2018 include new action figure sets based on Geoff Johns and Gary Frank’s hit DOOMSDAY CLOCK comic book series and new variants for DC Artists Alley designer vinyls, plus several new additions to popular statue and action figure lines. Equipment: New from Hasbro The Black Panther 12 Inch Marvel Legends Action Figure

Some people think they were born in the wrong time. Sadly, I am one of those who wish I was born in a different time. While many with this belief wish to have been born in an earlier, simpler time I wish I had been born later; toys are so much better now. We are living in an age where comic books and superheroes are mainstream. Kids these days have some of the coolest toys (that line needs to be read in a grumpy old man voice followed by the line, “Get off my lawn!”).

One of the toy lines I have been very impressed with is the Marvel Legends 12 inch figure line from Hasbro. This ever growing figure line includes: Captain America, Deadpool (2 versions), Thor, Spider-Man (2 versions), Iron Man, Wolverine and Daredevil (a San Diego Comic Con exclusive) and now Black Panther.
