Bishoujo translates from Japanese as “Beautiful Girl
” and the statues in the Bishoujo line from Kotobukiya are just that, beautiful. Some of the statues in the line are of female characters but some put a gender spin on some well-known characters from popular culture. This time around I must admit that horror never looked so pretty.
The latest entry in Kotobukiya’s Horror BISHOUJO series is the long-awaited Ash Williams from Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn! Ash’s appearance is expertly translated into the BISHOUJO style by series illustrator Shunya Yamashita. Continue reading

The Mezco booth at Toy Fair this year was incredible.
Who am I kidding; the Mezco booth is always awesome. Between the Living Dead Dolls and the One: 12 Collection I am like a kid in a candy store. Many of our followers are completely rabid for these figures. Well-made and exceptionally poseable these figures are the whole package. One of the best things about the figures in the One:12 Collection is that the figures cost less than 100 dollars. The lower price tag makes these figures more accessible for the casual collector. Equipment: Mattel at Toy Fair 2018
Toy Fair is really a sight to behold. To give you an idea of 
just how massive it is, the venue is the Jacob Javits convention center. This building has a total of 1,840,000 square footage with 840,000 square feet designated as the exhibition space. Toy Fair takes up the whole place and that doesn’t include the events that occur off-site. So probably close to one million square feet of toys; that my friends is a lot of toys. I think it would put Santa’s workshop to shame. Continue reading

The Batmobile, The Black Beauty, K.I.T.T., these are all 
iconic vehicles. Each one is linked to a larger than life hero. Batman, The Green Hornet, David Hasselhoff, you can’t think of one without the other because the vehicles are an extension of these heroes. Another iconic vehicle is the Spinner from Blade Runner. When the original Blade Runner came out in 1982 the Spinner became linked to the hero, Deckard, and now with the sequel, Blade Runner 2049, the new Spinner has become linked to Officer K, the new Blade Runner on the block.
