The DC Vinimates line is expanding rapidly, with new waves based on comics, video games and the CW TV shows on the way! Two new assortments hit this week and next, a new series goes up for pre-order later this month, and the first DC two-pack is slated for this spring, so we thought we’d run down what’s coming for this up-and-coming vinyl figure series!

This week, DC Vinimates Arkham Asylum Series 1 hits comic shops, featuring Armored Batman, The Joker and Harley Quinn. Sculpted in a block-figure style with authentic game styling, each 4-inch figure comes in a full-color window box featuring Arkham Asylum graphics. Continue reading →

No matter how old I get I know that whenever I hear the phrase (or close to it phrase), “Who you gonna call?” My response will always be, “GHOSTBUSTERS!” I was a fan of Ghostbusters back in the 1980s just as many, many other people and I don’t remember any toys associated with the movie. I know there were toys produced for the animated series but none were released for the first movie. Equipment: Voltron Classic ’84 Legendary Lion Collection from Playmates

I was a big fan of Voltron in the 1980’s but seriously, what kid wasn’t a fan? One of my fondest memories associated with Voltron has to do with my dog. When I was home in the afternoon and Voltron was on television I would sit and watch it with my dog. Though it doesn’t sound so spectacular it was fun. I had wood floors in my apartment and we had a game that I called “Voltron”. I would ask my dog if she wanted to play Voltron and she would run at me from across the room at full force. I would scoop her up and slide her back across the room. She would keep running at me until she decided the game was over…sadly there were days the game went on longer than I wanted. For as long as I had that dog, I couldn’t say “Voltron”. I also couldn’t say ice cream but that is a different story. Needless to say Voltron still holds a special place in my heart. Hard Copy: The Debut Issue of the Gears of War Comic from IDW Sells Out

IDW Publishing and The Coalition® are thrilled to announce that Gears of War: The Rise of RAAM #1, the debut issue of the highly anticipated comic book based on the smash hit franchise, has sold out at the distributor level just as it’s hitting stores. In order to meet fan demand, the issue will go back to print immediately.
