Inspired by characters and stories from DC’s robust portfolio, the all-new series of shorts will be included on upcoming DC Universe Movies releases, with exception of an innovative Batman: Death in the Family long-form animated short, which will anchor a compilation set for distribution in late 2020. When Solo: A Star Wars Story was 
released we were introduced to a young Han and another side of the Star Wars universe. We were also introduced to new characters and some characters that were just variations on the original, such as Stormtroopers. One of the new types of troopers we saw was the Mudtrooper. According to StarWars.com, “Formally known as Imperial Swamptroopers, Mudtroopers are part of the Imperial Army which was gradually phased out in favor of Stormtroopers.” The first time we see Han Solo after he enlisted he is a Mudtrooper, fighting in the mud. Star Wars Celebration was in Chicago last month 
and several vendors were there selling limited edition Star Wars items from Funko Pop figures, Lego, Hasbro Black Series figures and my favorite, Hallmark. The Limited Edition Keepsake ornament that Hallmark was offering was a 2 pack of everyone’s favorite droids, C-3PO and R2-D2. What made these special wasn’t just that they were a Limited Edition, they were also a sculpt was based on Ralph McQuarrie concept art from 1977. Continue reading
Just prior to the release of Avengers: Endgame
the first wave of toys from Hasbro hit the shelves. I am sure that Hasbro wanted to reduce the possibility of having a toy spoil the plot of one of the most anticipated films of the decade. This summer, one story will come to an end as a 
new one begins. USA Network today announced that SUITS’ ninth and final season, and new spinoff series, PEARSON, will premiere back-to-back on Wednesday, July 17 at 9/8c and 10/9c respectively. Both dramas hail from UCP and will have 10-episode seasons.

I don’t know why I can’t wrap my head around 
the fact that Alien is 40 years old, as cliché as it sounds, it feels like yesterday. When Alien was released Star Wars a big thing, especially when it came to merchandise. To jump on the merchandising bandwagon Kenner released an Alien figure with movable mouth and limited articulation. As you would assume it didn’t sell well. Toys were marketed for children and there weren’t many children going to see an “R” rated movie filled with guts and gore (it was a different time). It wasn’t until 1992 that Alien toys made a comeback. Cashing in on the popularity of James Cameron’s Aliens movie this new toy line took their inspiration from that movie. Continue reading
