Training Simulations: Looney Labs’ Best-Selling Line of Fluxx Games Adds Star Trek to Their Long List of Pop Culture Brands
Looney Labs has partnered with Gale Force Nine 
to announce two new Fluxx games featuring Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation at New York Toy Fair, Feb. 17 – 20. Each Fluxx will feature the most popular characters from each series including Captain Kirk and Captain Picard.
Fluxx is a card game with ever changing rules! The game play starts out simple: draw one card and play one card – but New Rule cards quickly make things chaotic. Even the object of the game will often change as you play, as players swap out one Goal card for another.

No matter how old I get I know that whenever
I hear the phrase (or close to it phrase), “Who you gonna call?” My response will always be, “GHOSTBUSTERS!” I was a fan of Ghostbusters back in the 1980s just as many, many other people and I don’t remember any toys associated with the movie. I know there were toys produced for the animated series but none were released for the first movie. Fans of the Ghostbusters must have rejoiced when they learned that Playmobil would soon be producing a line of toys based on Ghostbusters and the sequel, Ghostbusters II. Continue reading

Equipment: Voltron Classic ’84 Legendary Lion Collection from Playmates
I was a big fan of Voltron in the 1980’s but seriously, 
what kid wasn’t a fan? One of my fondest memories associated with Voltron has to do with my dog. When I was home in the afternoon and Voltron was on television I would sit and watch it with my dog. Though it doesn’t sound so spectacular it was fun. I had wood floors in my apartment and we had a game that I called “Voltron”. I would ask my dog if she wanted to play Voltron and she would run at me from across the room at full force. I would scoop her up and slide her back across the room. She would keep running at me until she decided the game was over…sadly there were days the game went on longer than I wanted. For as long as I had that dog, I couldn’t say “Voltron”. I also couldn’t say ice cream but that is a different story. Needless to say Voltron still holds a special place in my heart. Continue reading
