On May 8th, 2009 Star Trek was reborn. J.J. Abrams brought his vision of Gene Roddenberry’s legacy to the big screen and it was a success. This new version became known as the Kelvin Timeline. This altered timeline changed the origin of Captain Kirk and with it, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. This time around Kirk is portrayed by Chris Pine and Spock by Zachary Quinto. Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, in partnership with DC, are currently in production on five new DC Showcase animated shorts for release in 2019-2020.

Inspired by characters and stories from DC’s robust portfolio, the all-new series of shorts will be included on upcoming DC Universe Movies releases, with exception of an innovative Batman: Death in the Family long-form animated short, which will anchor a compilation set for distribution in late 2020. Equipment: A review of the Star Wars Black Series Han Solo (Mimban) Figure from Hasbro

When Solo: A Star Wars Story was released we were introduced to a young Han and another side of the Star Wars universe. We were also introduced to new characters and some characters that were just variations on the original, such as Stormtroopers. One of the new types of troopers we saw was the Mudtrooper. According to StarWars.com, “Formally known as Imperial Swamptroopers, Mudtroopers are part of the Imperial Army which was gradually phased out in favor of Stormtroopers.” The first time we see Han Solo after he enlisted he is a Mudtrooper, fighting in the mud.
