Hold onto your chimichangas, folks. From the studio that br
ought you all 3 Taken films comes DEADPOOL, the block-busting, fourth-wall-breaking masterpiece about Marvel Comics’ sexiest anti-hero: me! Go deep inside (I love that) my origin story…typical stuff…rogue experiment, accelerated healing powers, horrible disfigurement, red spandex, imminent revenge. Vids: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Blu-Ray Review
I am not usually one to use cliché phrases but it is kind of approp
riate in the case of the Hunger Games franchise that all things must come to an end. I had been a fan of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games books long before the movies were released and I hoped the adaptations would be faithful to the source material. Now I am also going to utter a phrase that I positively hate; the books were better; in this case only by a slim margin. Continue reading
Equipment: Alien Prop Replica Hat from Diamond Select
People no longer hide their geek side. We live in a world wher
e being a geek is becoming almost acceptable. I remember when I was a kid I dressed as a Sandman from Logan’s Run for Halloween and no one knew what I was supposed to be. After telling people that I was a Sandman I was informed repeatedly that the Sandman didn’t carry a gun. I finally gave in and started telling people I was a “cop from the future.” Sure Logan’s Run is a bit obscure even for today’s geek savvy populace but there are other movies from the 1970’s that are more mainstream such as Alien. Ridley Scott’s masterpiece of Sci-Fi/Horror did for outer space what Jaws did for the beach. Even casual fans of that movie and the subsequent sequels know about Weyland-Yutani or simply, “The Company” and even if they can’t remember the name of corporation that owned the Nostromo, they know the ship. Vids: Justice League vs Teen Titans from Warner Brothers Animation Review
I have said this before but: the animated movies from Warner
Brothers are highly entertaining and enjoyable. The newest offering from Warner Brothers is called Justice League vs. Teen Titans. The mere mention of Teen Titans had me a bit worried. I was afraid this movie was going to be like the awful Teen Titans Go cartoon airing on Cartoon Network, but fortunately this movie isn’t played for laughs. Continue reading
