E.V.A.- New York Comic Con (NYCC) Day One 2024

Day one of New York Comic Con (NYCC) is in the books and damn am I exhausted. I am tooling around in wheelchair with someone pushing me and I am still fighting sleep at an early out…but hey it is convention time, sleep is irrelevant. Day one was crowded, almost Saturday packed but that is good for the fans and the vendors, so I guess it is a good thing. I have to say I miss when Thursday was open for press early in the day with the show opening for everyone around 4 o’clock but those days are gone.

Vids: Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment Announces Watchmen Chapter II

Based on DC’s acclaimed graphic novel co-created and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, Watchmen Chapter II, the second part of the all-new animated two-part feature film from Warner Bros. Animation and Paramount, will be released on Digital on November 26 and on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on December 3.

The animated feature concludes the faithful adaptation of the groundbreaking graphic novel series by writer Alan Moore and illustrator Dave Gibbons, which redefined the superhero genre when it debuted in the mid-1980s.

Watchmen Chapter I and Watchmen Chapter II delve into the gritty and complex world of masked vigilantes in an alternate version of America during the Cold War era. The “Watchmen” saga remains a cornerstone of comic book literature, having garnered numerous awards and accolades over the decades.

Soundwaves: Available Now from Lakeshore Records the Original Series Soundtrack for Sweetpea Composed by Isobel Waller-Bridge

Lakeshore Records has to released Sweetpea– Original Series Soundtrack digitally featuring music by Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Roar, Wicked Little Letters). The upbeat synth score is punctuated with beats and percussive elements that reflect the dark storyline of empowerment at the core of the series.  Starring Ella Purnell, “Sweetpea,” premiered on Thursday, October 10 at midnight on the STARZ app.  On linear, it debuted on STARZ at 8pm ET/PT in the U.S. and on Friday, October 11 at 10pm ET/PT in Canada. The series will air on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK. The following week, “Sweetpea” will move to Fridays in the U.S.

Equipment: Hallmark Keepsake Ornament the U.S.E.A. Protector from Galaxy Quest Review

Hallmark is more than just a greeting card company. They produce a variety of products including holiday ornaments. You can collect ornaments for Halloween, Easter and of course, Christmas. Hallmark’s line of Keepsake Ornaments really does have something for everyone. Personally, I am a fan of the pop culture themed ornaments. I wait anxiously for the Dream Book and the announcement of what is being released each year. Past releases may have seemed a bit obscure to some but to a science fiction fan, the obscure ones are a pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect to see ornaments like the Spinner from Blade Runner, or the Cylon Centurion from Battlestar Galactica but Hallmark made them happen. This year the ornament that I was surprised to see was the N.S.E.A Protector from the film, Galaxy Quest.
