Equipment: Hasbro Unveils New Star Wars Products Ahead of May the 4th

During today’s Hasbro Pulse Fanstream and ahead of STAR WARS Day (May the 4th), new products were revealed, inspired by iconic STAR WARS stories. 

Expanding THE BLACK SERIES 6-inch scale product line are figures of Clone Commando, Satele Shan, Republic Trooper, Commander Thorn, Commander Doom and Mission Vao & Carth Onasi 2-pack. Fans can also look forward to THE BLACK SERIES mini helmets of Darth Vader and Clone Captain Rex, available exclusively at Walmart. 

 

THE VINTAGE COLLECTION 3.75-inch line adds Anakin Skywalker, Clone Trooper Commander, Bodhi Rook, Plo Koon, Luuke and Geonosian Warriors 4-pack figures.

Fans attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con will have the opportunity to purchase the following convention exclusives: STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION ANAKIN SKYWALKER & ASAJJ VENTRESS figures and STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES ARF TROOPER (501ST) & AT-RT.

 

Additionally, kids and kids at heart can look forward to two new products hitting stores today: STAR WARS ACTIONVERSE THE MANDALORIAN TEAM-UP PACK and BEYBLADE X STAR WARS COLLAB GROGU VS. SNOWTROOPER.

Soundwaves: Bear McCreary announces New Album, 2026 USA/West Coast Tour

“The Singularity” is the name of Emmy and BAFTA Award–winning composer Bear McCreary‘s symphonic metal project. In 2024, McCreary released an ambitious hard rock concept album of the same name. The album featured guest appearances by an extraordinary lineup of rock talent, including Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Rufus Wainwright, and more.

Today, McCreary is thrilled to announce the release of The Singularity: Ekleipsis, the follow-up album, which continues the metal saga of a damaged world in turmoil. Penned primarily by McCreary and his multi-talented brother, Brendan, Ekleipsis draws its name from the ancient Greek word meaning “abandonment” and explores themes of disillusionment and perseverance through struggle.

Lakeshore Records released The School Duel—Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally, on April 24, with an original score by Trevor Gureckis (Servant, The Friend). The dark themes of the dystopian film directed by Todd Wiseman, Jr. are lifted to disturbing heights by the pulsing, industrial synth score. Adding to the ominous intensity of the score is Gureckis’ hypnotic manipulation of the sounds of actual guns clicking, re-loading and shooting.  The School Duel is in theaters now.

During the Action Brands panel at CCXP Mexico, Hasbro unveiled two new entries in the popular STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES product line, including a 6-inch scale IMPERIAL REMNANT WARLORD & POLAR MOUSE DROID figure set inspired by the upcoming film STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU, and an all-new FX ELITE MAUL LIGHTSABER™.

Soundwaves: Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole Original Series Soundtrack from Lakeshore and Invada Records

Lakeshore Records and Invada Records are releasing Jo Nesbo’s Detective Hole—Original Series Soundtrack digitally today, April 24. The score was composed and recorded by internationally renowned musician Nick Cave, alongside long-time collaborator Warren Ellis. Cave and Ellis’ score provides a singularly dark and intense backdrop to the series based on the popular detective Harry Hole by author, creator and series executive producer Jo Nesbø.  The album is available digitally in the Americas on Lakeshore Records and the rest of the world via Invada Records. With over 60 million books sold worldwide – including a staggering 5.6 million in Norway alone (more than the nation’s population!) – Nesbø’s novels have enthralled readers and defined the crime genre.
