Equipment: Hasbro and Nintendo Announce “Legend of Zelda” Toy Collaboration

Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, today announced a new licensing partnership with Nintendo to create products based on the popular Legend of Zelda franchise. This multi-year collaboration is set to begin in 2027, starting with the first reveals of three 6″ scale figures at San Diego Comic Con (July 23-26, 2026).  

“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery,” said Billy Lagor, President Toys and Board Games at Hasbro. “By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures.”

Soundwaves: Angelo Badalamenti’s Iconic ‘Blue Velvet’ Score Returns to Vinyl for 40th Anniversary

Varèse Sarabande celebrates the 40th anniversary of David Lynch’s Blue Velvet with a reissue of its iconic soundtrack. Composed and conducted by Angelo Badalamenti, the atmospheric score not only marked the beginning of the artist’s influential creative partnership with Lynch but also served as his career breakthrough. Set for release on September 4th and available for pre-order today, this special reissue presents the 14-track album in a rainbow foil jacket, while fans can find the LP in a variety of limited-edition pressings: Yellow vinyl (exclusively at Amoeba Records), Blue (Barnes & Noble), Sandy Pink (Books-A-Million), Blue Sky Blend (Urban Outfitters), Silver & Blue Velvet (Brooklyn Vegan) and Silver at participating indie retailers. The album will also be reissued on CD and a 48-track digital deluxe edition.

Soundwaves: Lakeshore Records is Releasing the Complete Stranger Things Score on Vinyl

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Netflix’s Stranger Things, Lakeshore Records is releasing an epic 17 LP set of the complete score to all five seasons of the iconic series with music by Emmy winning and Grammy nominated composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. The albums are pressed on “Vecna’s Gate Vinyl” (Red and Orange colored vinyl), with gatefold jackets and full color inner sleeves. Stranger Things: All Seasons Vinyl Box Set is available for preorder beginning today, July 15 via The Orchard and at other outlets. The set will be in-stores on October 30.

Hard Copy: Celebrate 20 Years of Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth Insight Editions

This fall, Insight Editions will publish two official and definitive books celebrating the power and legacy of Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth, marking the film’s 20th anniversary since its 2006 release.

In addition to the upcoming releases, Cineverse, in conjunction with Fathom, will be bringing the acclaimed film back to theaters for its 20th anniversary in the United States and Canada in 3D, 4K and premium HDR by Barco on October 9.
