E.V.A.: Motor City Comic Con Day One Coverage Cosplay and More

I am so very happy that conventions are a thing again. As things slowly creep back to some semblance of normal, we venture out to hang with like-minded individuals, friends we haven’t seen in years and see the stars we normally only see on a screen. If you are in the Detroit area this weekend you should head over to Novi to the Motor City Comic Con.

For us, day one didn’t go exactly as planned. Ice cream for breakfast was on the agenda so that was good my GPS taking me on a roundabout tour of Michigan not planned. Arrival was 2 hours later than anticipated but that didn’t ruin the day. I have to say that for a Friday afternoon the convention was more crowded than I expected.

In 2005, a new breed of Superhero claimed its place of prominence among Saturday morning cartoons with the premiere of Krypto the Superdog. On August 2, 2022, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment brings the acclaimed complete animated series to DVD (USA $44.98 SRP; Canada $49.99 SRP).

Created by Chris Mitchell, Krypto the Superdog follows the adventures of the title character – Superman’s beloved pooch – who also acquires the powers afforded his original Earthbound master. Transmissions: Syfy Channel Announces New and Returning Shows for 2022

SYFY, one of cable’s highest-reaching networks, is celebrating 30 years of redefining genre programming with a dynamic lineup including two new scripted original series, an original film and the return of breakout hits.  

 

New series include “Reginald the Vampire,” a dramedy based on Johnny B. Truant’s “Fat Vampire” book series and starring MCU veteran Jacob Batalon as Reginald Andres, and “The Ark,” a space-set survival drama from writer Dean Devlin that takes place 100 years in the future.

Vids: Giant arrives on 4K Ultra HD 6/21 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment

Giant, the 1956 classic film starring Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson, and James Dean in his final role, will be released on Ultra HD Blu-ray and Digital on June 21, it was announced today by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

George Stevens, Sr. won his second Oscar® for directing the sweeping family saga set in Texas during the days of the oil boom. Based on Edna Ferber’s controversial novel, the movie’s release in 1956 was a massive box office hit and garnered 10 Academy Award® nominations.
